More About
Heart 2 Hand
Heart2Hand was born out of decades of serving, volunteering, and leading food banks across the Denver metro area—from the Denver Rescue Mission to Parker and everywhere in between. After years of hands-on ministry, Rob Nelson took a bold step in 2024 and officially founded Heart2Hand, guided by the simple but powerful desire to be “the hands and feet of Jesus.”

With the tagline “providing essential items for our most vulnerable populations,” Heart2Hand exists to meet practical needs with Christlike compassion. The ministry operates as a mobile food pantry, serving single moms and dads, foster families, military families, seniors, veterans, shelters, schools, and more. Each week, Heart2Hand delivers 15–20 food boxes directly to families in need—often responding in real time to requests that come straight to Rob’s phone.
Heart2Hand is a proud Food Bank of the Rockies Hunger Relief Partner, allowing the ministry to order and pick up food regularly. In 2024, the organization was awarded a significant grant to expand its reach and impact.
Beyond food, Heart2Hand has grown into a metro-wide resource for essential items through its Diaper Drive, launched during the early days of the pandemic. What began as a small effort has expanded rapidly, with donations now flowing across Denver communities, including full van-loads delivered to families in Montbello.
The ministry also facilitates an ever-expanding clothing exchange, serving as a vital intersection for people donating and receiving clothing. Items regularly make their way to places like the American Legion in Aurora, supporting military families facing deployment and transition.
For Rob, Heart2Hand is far more than a nonprofit—it is purpose, calling, and deep joy. Every box delivered, every diaper given, every family prayed for is another opportunity to bring God’s love directly into homes and hearts across the city.
